Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson is an Mexican singer and musician born into a musical family. Growing up she was influenced by Boleros, classical music and the more traditional romantic, ranchero, and romantic ballads. Ana enjoys tangos and drama and opera. When she was 16 years old, she started singing and studying music with her mum. Flavio, a Mexican famous tenor, started to provide her with more intense training in singing. At the School of Music of Guadalajara University as well as the School of Sacred Music of Toluca in Mexico continued her music education. In Guadalajara as well as Mexico City, she was part of a variety of opera choruses and chamber ensembles. After 2000, she emigrated back to in the United States and sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. In 2007, she returned to her current home in Southern California. She is currently a member of Ensemble XXI of Redlands and is a frequent solo performer in the traditional Latin American music at private occasions. Her passion for the performing arts, music, as well as the arts keeps her engaged in local projects both as an artist and instructor. Ana is also a former member of the Community Chorus of Redlands. The Inland Master Chorale. and the Performance Loft. Ana feels privileged to be able to be able to share her love for the tradition of Latin American music. She hopes to help younger generations keep the tradition alive.
